Finalists Announced in Four Categories

The Annual Awards Dinner serves as the Chamber Alliance's premier recognition event, bringing together business and community leaders to celebrate the accomplishments of this year's finalists and recipients.

This "Shark Tank"-style event gives local entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their ideas, connect with business leaders, and compete for a $5,000 grant.

Applications are now open for the Start Garden 5x5 Pitch Night, giving Mason County entrepreneurs the opportunity to compete for a $5,000 grant while showcasing their business ideas before a live audience.

Roots Peony Farm has gained significant traction over the past year since winning the Momentum Business Plan Competition in Mason County. Thousands of peony roots have since been ordered, planted, and sprouted, with plans underway to become the largest peony farm in the region within the next five years.

A candidate forum on June 29 will highlight contested primary election races and allow contenders to share with a live audience what sets them apart from the competition. This event will be held at Waterfront Park in Ludington and feature pivotal national, state and local competitions on the August 4 primary election ballot.

The Chamber Alliance of Mason County is now accepting nominations for its annual awards, recognizing the businesses, organizations, and individuals making a lasting impact on the local economy and community.

Interested entrepreneurs with a new or existing business idea can apply now; no formal business plan is required. From the applications, five finalists will be selected to present their business ideas to a panel of judges at Epworth Heights. One winner will receive $5,000 in this "Shark Tank"-style event.

American Cruise Lines will make two stops at the Ludington harbor on August 7 and August 14 after Ludington City Council approval was granted last week. For each visit, the American Patriot will arrive at 9:30 a.m. and depart the same day at 6:30 p.m.
