In 1938, young Entrepreneur, CR (Bud) Snyder began his venture in the retail shoe business at the corner of River and Poplar streets in downtown Manistee. The little corner of the old Vogue theater building was lit up with elegant décor and fashionable footwear. Bud brought with him a vision of quality merchandise, proper fit and customer service for the entire family.

That vision became the foundation of success for Snyder's Shoes. The mission of Snyder's Shoes is still staying abreast of fashion and technology in the shoe industry while maintaining the vision of quality, fit and service.
