Bus Days at Big Sable Point Lighthouse

Description
Enjoy a bus ride out to Big Sable Point Lighthouse. To prioritize accessibility, we offer a limited number of bus days each year. Visitors can ride out to the lighthouse and skip the 4-mile round-trip walk.
Bus Day Tickets Cost
- Adults $6 round-trip, $3 one-way
- Individuals 17 years old and under $4 round-trip, $2 one-way
Note: Tower climb tickets are not included in the bus cost.

Park in the main day-use parking lot at the entrance of Ludington State Park. Follow the signage towards the state park office area. You’ll find the ticket tent and the bus pickup location there.
Round-trip tickets are available to Big Sable until 4 p.m. on specified bus days; after this time, one-way tickets can be purchased until 4:30 p.m.
The last bus from the lighthouse will leave at 4:45 p.m. sharp, and tickets can be purchased at that bus stop. If you depart the lighthouse after 4:45 p.m., you will need to walk 1.8 miles back to the parking lot.

All bus days start at 12 p.m. and the last bus leaves the lighthouse at 4:45 p.m. sharp on that day.
