Recognized as one of the premier collegiate jazz ensembles in the country, the Bebop Spartans bring a high-energy performance featuring classic big band favorites, contemporary jazz standards, and exciting soloists from across the MSU jazz program. Opening the concert will be West Shore Community College Jazz Band I, WSCC’s premier auditioned jazz ensemble. Under the direction of Professor Ted Malt, Jazz Band 1 will showcase a brief yet diverse program, highlighting the exceptional talent of jazz musicians from across the region.
