Do you travel on highways and see litter scattered along the roadside? Lets do something about it, together! Please join the Quick-Way, Inc. team members by participating in our adopted section of the highway between US10-31 N from Scottville Rd. to Decker Rd in Scottville on 4/10 from 2 PM-4 PM. All volunteers are to let Krista know prior to the event to receive PPE(safety vest, gloves, bags) and to meet at the terminal at 2:00 PM and we will travel to the highway site which is located between Scottville Rd. and Decker Rd. on US-31 North. If you wish to drive yourself to the site, please let Krista know so we can make sure there is a place for everyone to park safely off the road. Attached is a sign that you can print off and tape to your vehicle window identifying it as an Adopt-a-Highway volunteer vehicle. Vehicles must park off the roadway and not in the way of traffic.
All volunteers will be loaned an MDOT safety vest to wear along with gloves and given Adopt-A-Highway trash bags. Both sides of the road need to be cleaned. We will only work two hours as a group so hopefully we will clean all of it up in that time. The more volunteers that can help, the faster it will go. Everyone must also take the training and sign the form to participate. Any volunteer under age 13 must always be accompanied by an adult. Let’s have fun and stay safe!
MDOT requires a safety meeting prior to volunteering (whether you have done it before or you are new)
Watch the 6 minute AAH Safety Video and review the brochure linked below.
We will ask you to sign a form stating that you have completed this training before you volunteer.
